Heard on the radio today that Acura will stop making the CL; I guess it was too close to the TSX line.

 

the CL isn't too close to the TSX line....i mean if the TSX was available with 2 doors...then yes

I am sure the CL is here to stay because it's the luxury Accord coupe...

 

CL is going because of low sales.

 

I heard the same thing awhile back. I think they will eventually come out with a TL Coupe. (My .02)

 

I love my TL... but I always thought the CL was a bad a$$ ride

 

a TL coupe is going to be tyte... with the new body design that they have, along with how u can already imagine how it would look if it were a coupe, id be all up on that

It's a good idea for acura to trash the CL(no offense CL driver) and come up with a slightly tweaked TL-coupe a la G35 sedan and G35 coupe. Beside, the CL is a TL with two doors.

 

I really like the TL Better.. I wish they had a 2 door of the Current TL

 

I know the CL is the 2 door but still its different

 

i thought a CL was a 2 door TL....i mean whats the diff besides alittle differnt exterior....accord coupe is different from the outside compared to the accord sedan...likewise with the g35 coupe, 3 series coupe, c-class coupe...so a TL coupe would be the same as a CL....there no differnece

 

I guess but I like the TL Better.. Usually The Coupe always looks better than the Sedan, but I speak differently about the TL AND CL

actually this news has been rumoured the first month it came out

 

CL is definitely on the way out. Hopefully in a few years it will come out with a bad-a$$ coupe.

 

My dealer told me a few months back this was likely to happen. Only one reason he said-the CL has not been a big seller and a big disappointment for Acura.

 

i dont understand all this about a "tl coupe", thats exactly what the cl is. granted its a bit different, but how much closer to the tl do you expect it to be?

 

A CL is a two door TL. It's that simple. So obviously, Acura won't be rolling out a "two door TL" anytime soon. There is no market for a big luxury FWD 2 door anymore. TL's outsell CL's almost 6 to 1 (Total sales Jan - April 2003). And while TL sales are down 14% 2003 vs. 2002, CL sales are down 35% compared to 2002.

Personally I miss mine......

 

resale value will suffer,but its expected. the cl-s with the 6 spd manual is sexy... wish i found a good deal for one
