Check your sunglass holder screws

Took 20 years before this screw fell out on its own 😱

They’re located on each side on top. Check to see if they’re lose or missing then just get some loctite and tighten them back up.

Heard a weird rattling in my sunglass holder today and when I opened it a little screw literally fell out onto my hand.
This screw must hold the compartment to the frame of the car and it mustve loosened slowly over the last 20 years before it finally fell out lol.
You guys should probably check yours to see if they’re loose before you lose them.

The same thing happened to me. I'm actually missing a screw. No idea where it went. May not have been there when I got the car and was just held in by one screw. Been in Home Depot a few times and just never think about it when I'm there to find a new one.

My center console screws fall out all the time for some reason. This is like the 3rd time I had to screw them back in.

Also, will definitely check up on the screws in sunglasses holder. Crossing my fingers that they are still intact. Thanks OP!

Haha no problem, just thought I should share since it’s something not a lot of people would notice. I just got lucky that it fell onto my hand instead of getting lost. I use blue loctite to make sure those screws never loosen on their own ever again. 😁

Dab of loctite on the threads before you screw them back in.

Just found 3 armrest screws the other day. Was wondering why my armrest wouldn’t latch all the time.
