Car issues....?
Hey,
Ok. First the problem was it would start and rev a bit higher and stay there for a while. It would go higher and lower same time. It did that a couple a days and then it went away. This happened two months ago.
Then for no reason. lights were Not on or anything plugged like radar the battery died and all doors closed and locked. The car battery I changed. Everything fine for one day until last night while driving the battery died again but this time me on highway doing about 70 mph.
Any help please

advance/discount auto parts has a tester, just talk to someone that works there and tell em you want em to check it, they go out with the tester you rev up to 2 rpm for a little while and thats it. Or you could just remove it take it to them and they can check it as well.
From what you said i would remove it take it have em check, it cause i doubt that thing is working...and i checked they have from $187 to $268

Check the Brushes in the Alternator. They wear out and can be replaced by an alternator shop for around $15/20 bucks. They are accessed on the back of the alternator. They are behind the metal cowling on the back side of the alternator in a little plastic fitting. You can order them from Honda/Acura. I replaced the Brushes that wore out in my Accords Alternator 2 times in the 304,000 miles. The alternator was fine. Just the brushes needed replacing. It's an easy job to unsolder and replace them if that's the problem. When the brushes wear out the alternator ususally works intermittantly, then quits all together. If the alternator is bad it usually just quits working. Any shop will tell you to just replace the alternator but-CHECK THE BRUSHES
