A/C Compressor issues 99 3.2 TL

Hey guys, I recently tried to add freon to my system to try and get my air to blow colder.

It was not as cold as I liked but still was cooler than the outside air, but after adding the freon I went home amd after about an hour I left again but my compressor would kick on an instantly kick back off, and the air would stay as warm as it is outside. I was hoping someone has possibly delt with this issue before and could give me a few options here. The only shop I've found that would try and figure things out was trying to charge me 200$ just to attempt to find a leak.

I personally don't feel there is a leak in my system, I thought maybe I put too much or not enough in my system and the compressor doesnt have enough pressure to stay running but that was the only option they gave me was to test for a leak after applying dye to my system

Without the proper equipment and knowledge I would recommend you bite the bullet and have a shop look at it before you possibly do costly damage to the system.

Shop around though, $200 is a little on the high side.
