A/C Compressor issues
A/C Compressor issues
My A/C was not cooling but discovered that the refrigerant (134a) was completely empty. Recharged it and when the TL was sitting still, it was kicking out cold air so I thought the problem was solved but after driving the car the A/C would go from cold air to room temp air and then back to cold air. I noticed that when sitting still the compressor would kick on and off in quick spurts. Sometimes the compressor stays on for a while but then it goes back to kicking on and off. Im wondering if my compressor is going bad or if I may just have a leak? I was also wondering if anyone had a maintenance diagram of the system so I could so alittle trobleshooting or even be able to remove the compressor if that is the problem.
Thanks in advance!

OP the reason I say you have a leak is that my 1994 accord did not require an A/C recharge until 2002 or about 9 years after it was bought new. It had a tiny leak in the condensor. my 1998 accord still had great cold AC at 8 years old when I sold it and my 2002 CL-S had great cold A/C until it's accident in 2009 when they replaced the non oem condensor with a cheap aftermarket part. It failed less than 2 years later so I replaced it with an Acura OEM one and it's been great ever since.
