Question Bulletproof Tranny Question

Ok, I've read a few posts about a Bulletproof tranny, what is this?

Is it a tranny that's not the normal tranny that Acura would put in, I'm willing to pay money and fix it right the first time then having to keep getting it repaired time and time again...thanks guys

I found this a while back and probably going to investigate further if and when my tranny goes again http://www.levelten.com/store/import...s/acura_cl.htm

Peace, Jeff

I have a Level 10 TH700R4 in my street Camaro - been in there since 1994 and has many 11 second nitrous runs on it; they build good transmissions. Price is a different story - I paid $1,600 installed in 1994, you can double that now.....

Level Ten has done some bad business practices in the recent past, apparently.

Dr. Evil and/or Speed Distribution also does reinforced transmissions. Basically, they take apart our factory transmission and replace a lot of the internals with stronger components, like carbon-kevlar clutchpacks. I *think* it costs about 3 grand, if I remember right.

10% on this board, but only 3% in general
