Brake light now on

Hey guys, I did new rotors and pads on my front end yesterday. I didnt bleed or touch the filler cap or anything else and now i have a red light brake light on. Any ideas? it sometimes goes away if i gently press the brake but as soon as i release it comes back. Done brakes for years and never had this problem.

if it says "brake light" it means the actual bulbs themselves.

i like to take the brake res. cap off when compressing the cylinders in the calipers for help with pressure. much play in the peddle at the moment? fluid looks decent?

probably too much fluid in the master messing up the low level sensor in the cap
When you install new rotors and pads- you have to push the caliper piston IN a lot- almost all the way in some cases, where did you think that fluid went?
The TL is not every other car you have worked on~
even has it special bleed order LF RF RR LR
If master level above MAX line which is pretty far up there, use a turkey baster or similar suction device to remove the excess
Ck slider for free and easy movement- they wear out too
have you flushed the flud yet?- really should do it every year, at least with every brake job!

I never knew that you should do it every year!
It has not been done on mine for ~2-3 years (to the best of my knowledge) - but very low mileage.
The front rotors are starting to warp (shudder when breaking at ~80 km/h)(lots of rain where I live) Is it just safe to do it then?

brake fluid level needs to be at the FULL or MAX line on the res
one of the few fluids that way on the TL

Anything less will trigger that low level sensor
Try cleaning the sensor in the cap- make sure it slides easily

brake fluid is hygroscopic and sucks moisture from the air- ruining it and brake parts
Has nothing to do with how much its driven
