I've checked the fluid and it's fine. Could it be that shoes need to be changed?...cause they do.

Check the float sensor. It might be stuck if its cold in the morning, and frees itself when the engine warms.

Check the cap for the brake fluid reservoir, sometimes the wires get tangled.

I remember I had the same problem. My pads were very worn, almost gone. After changing my brakes & pads, the light went away. Coincidence..?

happens to me everyday in Georgia also. changed the pads on all 4 corners and did a full system flush about 2 weeks ago. light still comes on every morning, goes away about 10-15 minutes later. been doing this for about 2 years now. i cleaned the floater and all plastic in the cap - nothing. been meaning to have the code read, but it always shuts off before i get to a parts store.

i'm thinking a new cap will solve the issue - anyone else think this?

you know a new cap is only 35 dollars and a whole master cyl with new cap runs 85-100

new master makes a differance in pedal feel and brake operation- In My Opinion.
at least my 01 felt better with one after the legend calipers and new rears upgrade
new parts everywhere--
that rubber oring inside master,, that makes the entire brake system work--seems to wear a bit with several hundred thousand pushes of the pedal~

inside the master cyl cap- the slider warns of low fluid level -
usually due to low pads causing calipers to require more fluid at their end

Its attached to your Brake master cyl cap. Take it off and you will see it. Clean it and make sure it moves freely
