Even the new(updated) cable?
I just bought mine from enfig too, was cheapest, but it says all over the page(see link at bottom of page 5), that it won't charge new iPhones or 2nd gen ipod touches, which is what I have & want to use with the blitzsafe.

mine stopped working after a few weeks. everytime i have to disassemble the side panels and stuff to tweak the cable a bit to get it to work, and then when i re assemble everything, itll stop working again.

ive gone through this process three times now and i have lost all patience with it.

hey any ways guys i have a 2000 tl and i had the disk changer in the trunk but i took it out cause it broke. I have some wire with a blue connector run to where the disk changer was. is that where i need to plug it in or do i plug it into the back of the radio? also is blitzsafe only made for a ipod? cause i have a phone with a 3.5mm input and i was wondering if i would be able to use blitzsafe as aux with my lg chocolate 3?

you need to plug it in behind the cd player where the cd changer port is. blitzsafe makes a connector that is universal for all 3.5mm inputs but does not charge like the ipod one. same price though

The Blitzsafe outputs to red and white RCA cables. You have to buy the RCA to 3.5 mm cable. Radio shack has them for like 6-7 bucks.

Red face Blitzsafe install issue

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, yesterday I installed my Blitzsafe Ipod adaptor in my 2003 TL Type-S w/nav, tested it, everything worked perfectly. Then I tried to reassemble and run my cables back to the console. Somewhere in the process I lost all sound. I still get the digital display on the radio, but no sound, no illumination, no steering wheel control. I checked fuses, they seemed good. If anyone has any idea on where I may have run a ground, I would appreciate any input.

Is the wiring harness loose - or any of the wireless going into the main harness?

I pulled it all out last night, I couldn't find any loose wires in the harness, I made sure they were all plugged in tight to the back of the radio. What doesn't make sense is that I still get the digital display, but lost everything else, illumination, sound, and steering control.

Do you have your radio code? I would try and reset the radio and see if that works.

I had to put the code in after I disconnected the harnesses, and also after I pulled the fuses to check them, it accepted the code just fine. It actually displays the station, volume level, etc. I can change to FM/AM/CD that all displays. That is what is most perplexing, I see the digital display, but nothing else works.

It'll work for anything with output. If the Blitzsafe is made for 99-03 TL then yes, it will work.

Still no luck, I've been without any audio for a week now. I may have to take it into a shop as I run out of ideas as to where the problem may be. Any one else have any ideas?

Just recently ordered and installed mine in 15 minutes without removing the radio. Everything is working great! Charges both my iphone3G and my girlfriends 2G as well. Music sounds just as good as a CD.

awesome. shit, i think it sounds A LOT better than CDs. I love my iPod touch 2nd gen. I really want to get the mount for it, as shown in that *pdf.
I know I'm going to crash one of these days dicking around with changing songs while having to hold it in one of my hands in stop-n-go traffic

IPOD Adapter for '99 Acura CL 2.3

Hi!
My name is Maxine, call me Max!.......maybe you have answered this question many times before but, my eyes are a bit tired from searching the forums. I don't know too much about cars and audio. I need to know what I have to buy for my '99 Acura CL 2.3 in order for me to play my IPOD songs; hopefully something cheap? Still has the factory radio!

Thank you in advace for you reply!

Hey guys,

I just upgraded to the iphone5 and need to upgrade my cable. The blitzsafe website doesnt have a lightening connector cable yet so I'm thinking of going aux because I dont really need it to charge.

Can i just get a rca to 3.5mm cable and plug it in? Also, does anyone have any pictures of how to get behind the radio? Its been years and I dont remember. The only thing I do remember is that I was able to get this installed without taking my radio out.
