Akimoto for 1999 TL

Anybody knows where to purchase the "Akimoto Funnel Ram Intake System" for 1999 TL?

No this is not the "tornado" that work with your stock filter.
This is a cold air intake system, read some review about it.
Current using K&N drop in filter replacing the oem.

I had a short Akimoto intake on 99 TL, now it's on bobatimez 99 TL.
I purchased it from a local import shop in Los Angeles, CA. Don't know where you can get one now!

It's funny how I just asked SOCAL the same question recently. I wanted to get Akimoto but ended up getting the AEM CAI though due to it superiority in performance.

Probably combining the AEM CAI piping and the Akimoto Funnel Ram III filter would yield better result (some what).

I placed on my order thru ACP (as usual) for the AEM CAI last Saturday. And I just got it this morning. It's been only one and half business days... what a fantastic service! Thanks Tim. You're the man (as usual).

SLVR TL,

If you want the by-pass valve, I have one I can sell you! I originally got if for my S2000, but decided not to use it. I'm pretty sure it's the same one for the TL's.
Let me know!

Is it the 2.75 inch By-PassValve (Part# 20-402S)? I think TL-S and S2K share the same 3 inches but TL uses different diameter valves. I'm not sure what the diameter is on YOUR S2K AEM CAI piping... but most likely it's 3 inches.

I might be interested if it is the same size. Why didn't you use it though?

Sorry Sho,
Mine is a 20-403S part number, which is 3" diameter!
I didn't use it cuz it drastically reduces power from the AEM CAI for the S. Going WOT at 8k RPM's doesn't work too well with the by-pass valve. :o :p
