air filter

What would me my car fun better? Should I replace the stock air filter with a K&N or install an air intake? What website would have what I need?

A K&N Drop-in Filter will make a touch more noise and increase your gas mileage .... a CAI will decrease your gas mileage increase your horsepower a drop and have a ice deep sound ;o)
It's up to you and what you're interested in....

as far as i know theres not much difference between the brands of cai's. do you own a type s? if so, youre stuck with an aem or injen. pretty much no difference at all, but i would recommend the bypass valve no matter what.

if you've got a tl-p, i believe you may have a few short ram options. correct me if i'm wrong. the short ram will give you negligibly less hp, but you wont run the risk of water in the engine. this can be alleviated with the bypass, but a cai w/bypass is considerably more expensive than a short ram.

the short ram is also an easier install, doesnt require removing the bumper. they're both relatively easy though.

if you get k&n, make sure you get the cone instead of the one that fits in you standard filter box. the filter box probably impedes airfolow more then the k&n will so you won't get much/any improvement

I think I am going to just buy a short ram intake. Now I need to find a company I like. I dont think the K&N replacement filter does anything!

thanks
