Adding headers, sways, springs, more. need opinion.

Looks like i have the chance financially to get OBX headers, Comptech springs, sways, and icebox, and the apexi VAFC.

Can anyone give me an idea on what my HP gain would be?

Or if anyone has different ideas for my $$$

I would go with an OEM kit first (cause its so cheap for the 99 to 00 tls ) and then work on suspension (sways, shocks, and sways)

then ct ice-box and headers. i've heard too many horrible stories with obx.....im sure you can find a used one for $700 or so...

I would do it in this order:

Kit
CT springs
Headers
Icebox

I see no need for sways. Our car handles pretty good with stock sways. That would be the last thing I would do. Springs should be a definite...

I agree with . I have OBX in my car and I have no problems with it. I know some people have had problems but I personally have not experienced any yet.

Get the springs first. This will, in addition to new rubber, make a MAJOR and instant difference in handling. This is, frankly, much more important than the engine mods because better handling=safer driving.

Not to mention that lowering this particular car makes it look hotter, another instant benefit.

cool... im not going to do wheels or kit yet... too much $$$ in one pop for right now... the OEM kit is still $700-800 for the SSM TL's, their still making that one (bastards).

springs and sways are an absolute, without a doubt. ill be doing this all at once so should be a good improvement.

but the headers/intake/apexi is where the question lies... like should i get pulleys before the apexi for get exhaust instead of intake, stuff like that....

i would get the header first, intake 2nd, pullies 3rd, exhaust 4th (mostly cosmetic with a little sound and a couple hp with all the other parts on and then i would get the VAFC last so you only have to try to tune it once

i wouldnt worry about the pulley doing any damage. ive been running them for years on my other hondas and my old race car and never once had an engine related problem. i would stick with the UR pulley though.

Engine or handling is up to you. It just depends on what you want first. Looks and handling or increase HP. Save the V-AFC for last. One thing to consider, if you have the looks it is nice to back it up with hp. On the other hand, you can have a stock looking TL with lots of hp under the hood

My 2 cents.
1. Headers
2. Intake
3. Pullies
4. Springs, shocks and sways as a package.

Btw, my dealer installed my pullies!

Comptech's dyno with intake and headers
