Newbie here,
I'm in the process of purchasing a 2k TL w/navi for $14K it has 64K mi. I really like the car, drove it once now I'm just waiting for Acura to look at why the srs light is on. I know about the tranny prob. I'm planning to take another drive in it this coming week, Should the autostick automatically shift up/down? Anything else I should look for during the drive? what would you do in my shoes?thanx...

sounds pretty cheap, but definately find out why the srs light is on. the sport shift does not automatically shift up (only from 1st ro 2nd) but will automaticlaly shift down when you come to a stop.

 

only from first to second right? when I took the first test-drive I unknowingly put it in the ss mode and noticed that it didn't shift passed 2nd.

 

ya, thats what i said..it will only shift from 1st into 2nd automatically and will stay in 2nd (will not upshift). It,however, downshifts automatically.

 

it has a timer on it. if u ppush it all the the past 6k rpms then it shifts in 2nd, put in thirds ur on ur own.
