for the 99ers out there....

I want to pick up a set of 02-03 tail lights. I found some for sale for $157CAD $120USD each, so I'm looking at $360CAD $275USD with taxes and everything. Do you think it's worth it? I know the car looks much better with the newer style lights, however I'm on the fence about the price.

And before anyone sugests getting the cheaper knock-off ones from ebay, I would rather not...I'd perfer to stick with acura brand.

yeah, OEM's are on the pricey side....

But see, the thing about the "cheaper knock-offs" is that... they look virtually the same. There are a couple of members on this forums that have those and said they are just fine. I also recall someone who has had BOTH oem and ebay because his oem's were damaged or destroyed so ebays were bought as replacement. He said that for the price, you can't go wrong with the ebays.

Well, let me do a search and see if i can find that thread, hold up.

Clear tails are one of the biggest cosmetic upgrades you can do that will give your rear a updated look. Regardless of cost I say go for it.

For a possibly cheaper price, try checking local parts recyclers/junkyards... Look for a TL with frontal damage and tails in good conditions and buy those. I'm sure you can find OEM tails there. ??? Not at all sure of prices anywhere, but that's just a thought....

I actually got the bulbs and wiring harness with the lights for no extra cost!

since I'm a cripple right now, had an operation last week, I was able to "con" my sister into driving to get them, and a friend of mine did the install for a few "cold ones".

And StreetSpirit, these were from a wreaker, I just didn't want to mention the specific one, Standard Auto Wreakers, I wasn't sure if someone would try and pull a fast one on me.

Ahh well, I think they look great, and they definitely make the car look different.

Too bad they don't hold on to the emblems at the wreaker, I need the larger symbol on the back, it looks too blank.
