Ive got an extra one of these (its the plaque by the shifter), Im thinking about puting it on the back of the car (like where the Type-S or TL badge would be as the only hint that its something different.
What do you think???

While I dunno about the badge, I say track it when you can and see how fast it is! It's weird to see that stick in a TL.

very well done it looks like it was like that form the factory.

the badge - i dont know, tape it in various places then take a picture or something. i think it will look weird because the shape is awkward.

Thanks. That display is for the Passport 8500. As for your car is there any body damage to the 1/4 panels? Or is it just limited to the bumper and trunk lid?

Just got back from a 500 mile road trip to Elgin Il this weekend, and the car ran Awsome. I averaged 80mph and got 29.5 mpg. I got on it a few times both ways that probably droped it below 30, plus the 30 or so miles thru the city. Its a little different seeing it curise along at 2750 rpm at 80 though

Oh and the Type-S motor with headers, exhaust pipe with no resonators and comptech mufflers on with quiet tip inserts in is

Yea ive thought about that, BUT the 2 dealers we have in this state are both a hr 30min + drive. I am thinking about stoping in and saying my car isnt shifting right and having them look at it thought to see what kinda reaction i get

Haha if you travel with the TL, stop at dealers along the way with that excuse. They'll be like:

"What kind of car do you have?'
"A TL 6 speed"
"Oh, is it 04, 05, or 06?"
"It's a 2000."

airbags didnt work before project. wouldnt b hard to get them to work. ABS needs a different motor, cause the CL-6 doesnt have tcs/vsa built in

The red tool I see you used to raise your tranny and engine, is that what is called a transmission jack? I've been looking around online for one, but I wanted to be certain if that was what it was called. Got my tranny today, it's so heavy that a lift had to be used just to get it into my friend's trunk before bringing it home. When you installed yours, did you bring it down from the top or did you raise it from below the car?

Kris, CONGRATS, about how much you spent on this project if you dont mind me asking?

Also, you should have a sticky and locked thread with final pictures IMO

Its called a engine hoist. The tranny goes out thru the bottom.
The auto tranny is a PIG. The manual you can pick up with 1 hand.
