You are doing a great job! This reminds me when I ripped out my f22 and put a h22 in my old Accord. Except that was way easier than your project. I said, I would never do something like that again, but after watching this thread. I probably will.

I found a sweet deal on a Eibach strut bar that was for the accord 4 cylinder, price was so cheap I had to buy it (brand new) I had to modify the strut bar to fit but basically it rubbed agaisnt the engine cover every time I turned and what not switched gears.

Now it only has about 1/2" of clearence, but hey it works well and gets the job done.

Kris,

Where did you get the tranny linkage from, did it come with the tranny, or did you have to get it seperate. I have a friend of mine looking for a wrecked 03 CLS 6 speed. I figure getting the whole front clip will make things a little cheaper and easier.

Awesome job...

I bought all my stuff at teh link blk2001tlon19s posted. They were Very fast with shipping

Finding the whole front clip would be by far the easiest thing to do. Also if possible get teh engine from it too, as i found out the manual motor has 1 VERY expensive sensor that the auto motors dont.

So are you not going to have a parking brake? Do manual CLs have their parking brakes as the lever type between the driver's seat and the center console?

Im going to have one, the parking brake is just the least of my concern. The parking brake is in the center console on the passenger side

95% just need to figure out a few differences in the harness between the CL 2 door wiring and the TL 4 door wiring

Yeah I am beside myself... I really want to see it up and running. Man Kris, I hope everything starts up, and it doesn't give you too many problems. Although if you do have problems, I'm sure you wont hesistate to rip it apart and fix it.

Man I wonder how this would help the resale value, the only 6spd TL around could be a pretty good selling point! But then again you are driving it until it bites the dust right?

Yeah, but to the other .1% of us who know how to drive, it's worth a heck of a lot more than blue book.

here is the CAI i made. I ordered some "U" 3" pipe from jegs, cut and welded it to some 3"straight pipe. Cut in some breather holes and Viola. CAI. its a little rough yet and needs to be fine tuned, and painted but its made atleast.

i had to push it quite a ways over for my filter to fit. Im sure its going to rub, but ill trim that part of the car away so that it wont

Keep going Kris, we wanna see pics of the first ever (worldwide) 2nd gen TL interior showing the console with a SHIFTER and not a mere autotragic gear selector! And a third pedal too! Hope you can get it running alright soon
