Is it super cold where you are? Any chance the parking brake froze?

That sounds weird, maybe your parking brakes are on and is possible for a parking brake to freeze up?

Yes, please state mileage, how long you owned the car and what SPECIFICALLY was the last things it did before this problem?

Been having park brake problems? Any brake probs? Noises?

The park brake is actually a mini set of old school drum brakes
that reside inside the hub of the rear rotor.
Access to the adjuster is inside that rubber plug on the rotor,
it is a star wheel that you click.
Letting you know in case you have a mechanic take it apart and
he says the rotor refuses to come off- release the tension on the adjuster- very common
Let them know ahead of time how it works.
Our cars are special!~

If you wont provide any details we cannot help you.

If its not stuck brake then it may actually be transmission related failure!
Does it engage any gears at all?
They can go just that quick- poof stuck in 2nd or wont shift or...with no warning
See the threads on Transmission Failure and read the info at acura.com
Warranty item for 109k miles or 7 years if thats it

Call a tow truck and take it to an indepndant shop if you know one or the dealer if you have no other options

^^^

I know less about cars than my grandmother , but for everyone else on this Forum, you have to provide as much information as possible if you want people to try and help you figure it out.

On the other hand, this is an Acura enthusiast forum, not a forum for Acura mechanics, so despite how much amazing knowledge and information is available here, if you're car ain't moving, rather than waiting for forum members to get time to help you diagnose it, if you really have places to go, your best bet is to have it towed to your favorite mechanic. Then tell us what happened!

I'm no mechanic, but you can put the car in neutral and push it. That would rule out if the real brakes are locked up.

Or you can jack the rear up and see if the tires spin by hand.

Show of hands- who thinks at 109 and just purchased, that the most likely thing to have sudden failure is....lets all say it together.................

Go out and do the Nuetral push the car trick - if it moves-good- its not brakes

and the put in gear and lightly press gas test- if it doesnt move, bad

I must ask- did you buy private or from car dealer- with warranty?

Hey 808

Whats the story?

Did you test what we suggested, have towed?
What is the diagnosis.
Your post will someday help the next person
Thanks!
