Well i dunno who remembers i was cursed with a 2000 TL lemon that had a bad tranny then later on anything and everything went on it including the motor @65k so i made the dealer buy it back at current retail instead of trade in value, and silly me bought a 2002 Type S with 45k. well it went in today for the recall i've only had it a month and they just called to let me know it too needs a new tranny, hooray for acura

the fact that its an incovenience and the closest acura dealer is 40 minutes away everytime it needs to go in for service , and the fact this is the second time i've had this issue

 

40 mins away? where are you in conn? well, this is a known issue, so you already be prepared to deal with it.... atleast the car is hot. if it wasn't bad ass, i would have dumped it b/c of the tranny issue.

btw, expect more inconviences. i dont think anyone here has the perfect tranny.. good luck to ya bro.

The hassle going inti the dealer and not having your car and the unease of thinking you your tranny sucks

 

sorry to hear about that, hopefully after they replace this one you should be in for some smooth sailing, but knowing acuras reliablilty with there transmissions, probably not

 

Is that at 60 mph or at one of your 140 mph "tests"

thats a mix of 2 lane hwy (bout 65 for me) and freway (bout 80 for me)

the dealer being so far is why i change my own stuff, (that and im past warranty)
