Hi all new here and could use some help, i have a 1999 acura tl and have a knock while accelerating in front end when i let off gas it goes away. I have checked axles,ball joints and everything else i can think of up front on both sides. No luck can't find the smoking gun all looks good. sure could use some advice. This only happens when im accelerating and its not the motor, it feels like suspension of some sort.

Have ya checked the motor mounts ?
They are a common problem along with ball joints, bushings, and end links.

 

yes i have mounts look good and ball joints,rod ends, upper and lowers. this is really frustrating. it only knocks during acceleration and when car levels off, stops when going down hill or deceling. thanks for reply

 

Might be the lower control arms

 

Radius Rod bushings might be completely worn.
Can you pin point if the noise is from the passenger or driver side ?
I notice its usually the passenger side that suffers the most.

 

Talking about the Radius Bushing... Are there some poly aftermarket Radius Bushings for our 2G?

^ I think I´m gonna replace mine this Weekend with the Moog K9733´s. Looks cheap and easy too, Hope it really gives something new to the driving characteristics as noted by fatty.
