I bought mine from matrix racing and they are awsome. They are a very reputible company. I bought mine for $165 2 months ago.

There's a few out there on ebay I'd watch out for.... I bought mine from this guy and he sent me mismatched color taillights. Check the photo gallery and see it for yourself.

Was your seller IVM1?? I bought a set from him but he's delayed shipping because he said something about the tails being mismatched.

BTW, I just bought a set off this guy a couple weeks ago for $155 + shipping

 

so then, is 180 shipped, from original link a good deal? seems to be the best i can find....seems like the days of 150 shipped are over....I guess if I dont find a better price, ill go with this guy.

Also, more importantly, this guy claims "Quality with SAE/DOT APPROVED."
i thought that wasn't possible unless I change the bulb? I emailed him and he said it wont cause any violations .... any ideas on this?

They are talking about the actuall tails themselves. For lights to be legal for road use, it usually has "DOT Approved" on the housings.

 

so if i purchase these tails, what lights would i need to buy?
I have a 2001 tl. I would like them to look clear, not amber, when off.

am i right in assuming that stock lights, with these tails, would put me in violation?

 

You need to purchase some Chrome amber 7440 bulbs. YOu can get them on ebay for a few bucks each.
