*Special - HKS Dual Rear Section Sport/Drager Exhaust for your Acura TL

*Special - HKS Dual Rear Section Sport/Drager Exhaust for your Acura TL

The Super Drager Exhaust Systems from HKS are designed using an unchambered SUS 304 stainless steel muffler assembly. Large diameter mandrel bent aluminized steel piping and an etched Drager exhaust tip are trademarks of a Super Drager exhaust. Using extensive computer controlled flow analysis, dyno testing, and precision fitment design, HKS produces maximum horsepower without dramatically depleting low-end torque. Each HKS exhaust system is flanged and comes with all gaskets and hardware to provide the easiest direct bolt on installation possible. Additionally, HKS exhaust systems utilize factory mounting points and hanger locations. .

The dragers are very cool. They have a low rumble and a soothing deep tone throughout the car at freeway speeds. I've riden inside many Hondas with the "coffee can" type mufflers that give me a headache when going 50+ for only a few minutes. Now with these Dragers though, I actually turn my radio off and relax while listening to soothing sound of these babies!

I can assume these will fit the Type-S right? No fitment issue?

Personally i like the high note of the italian exotics over low note american muscle...think the comptechs satisfy that more? or do the HKS just sound better overall?

General question: Do you gain power by adding these types of hi-flow exhausts? If so, how much? Also, what does axle back mean (easier installation?) SOrry for the dumb questions.

axle-back simply put is just the end of the exhaust system, the mufflers themselves and the exhaust pipes coming from them...they are cheaper and easier to install, usual just requiring bolt-on installation however as many people have posted, they're mainly for look and sound, and add very little horsepower.

cat-back exhausts include nearly a new exhaust system...it includes the pipes that run under the whole of your car...for the stock TL, cat back would be better because the pipes are not as big as the ones on the type S and would add much more power than axle-backs however they're more expensive and do require more complicated and usually professional installation

Way too much! very easy to do yourself. Just lift the back of the car about 6 inches to give yourself room. I was very inexperienced and it only took me an hour total from opening the new box to sealing that box up with my old mufflers inside it.

No modification to the bumper, and as fo sound, it has a low rumble.

You can do a search here for HKS and you will get quite a few results of other members descriptions..

i read something about the tips being too far recessed into the rear bumper and would start heat up the rear. Are extensions necessary or does it bolt right up?

The tips are back about 1 inch... but they also hang below the bumper about an inch. I have had no issues with anything heating or melting or deforming. They fit just right.

I think it has to be extended if you have a body kit.

If you do not, I don't believe it's necessary...

What happens if you have the WW rear end? If you extend it, will it match up with the notches on the kit?

Matt - yes, you should of received a confirmation email of your order

FidizzyTypeS - you are not entering in the info correctly, or copying and pasting, as you will not get that message of access denied

njtls - will still be selling them, just not at this price. Purchased all HKS had that they wanted to move before the end of the year

eh!curaplus - design is like stock. This is straight bolt on.
not near sensor, this is an Axle -Back design

As for cat-back pipe, do a search here for Comptech - B pipe
