Thumbs up RonJon is a heck of a nice guy: my Ouch and Ahhhh story

First off, my hat's off to RonJon for being a really decent guy.

Now for the story:
The timing just seemed to fall in place for a wheel/tire upgrade on my car as I happened to stumble across some 19" RonJon Legends and tires that were being offered for sale by a former Acurazine member. He had sold his car off after having the wheels for just about four months. The rims were basically like new and the Falken 452's only had a few thousand miles on them. We negotiated a price, the seller took great care packaging everything up, and he shiped them on up to me in 3 separate boxes. The first two wheels/tires arrived safely in their individually boxes. 2" foam was used to protect the wheel surfaces inside the box. Unfortunately the other two tires travelled together in one carton and FedEx wasn't so kind to that box. It had been torn open in transit and the wheel lugs, which had been inside, in its own bubble wrapped bag was gone, but for a few lugs that FedEx did me a real favor and tossed back in the box loose before re-taping the box. Gee thanks FedEx. Well the lugs bounced around and did quite a bit of unpleasantness to the wheel surfaces. OUCH! I was bummed out....

Then I happened to be driving nearby RonJon's warehouse in NY today so I called him up about getting a pair of new wheels to replace the marred up set. He was nice as pie about the whole thing even though I hadn't bought the wheels from him in the first instance. Even though Rondy doesnt have a retail store, and even though it was getting late in the afternoon, he offered to drive on over to meet me at his facility and proceeded to give me a really great deal on a pair of rims. I saved even more by being able to pick them up directly and skip the shipping fees. Ahhhhhhh!

So now I am just a few weeks away from getting the wheels and tires mounted on my car. I'm totally stoked about the wheels and totally happy with RonJon as a vendor.

I'll post some pics when I put them on as I havent seen a PWP yet on this site rolling on Legends. I'll probably go with an A Spec suspension mod soon as well.

BTW, Rondy is planning a group meet this summer (Aug) in the Tuckahoe/Yonkers area. I hope some of you will make the journey over. The last one saw about 110 cars there. Lets make sure some RLs are represented this year!
