I'm keeping my stock wheels and tires for winter use so I have to order new TPMS for my RonJon 19" Legends. I see a few different part numbers offered by sellers on ebay for the TL, RL, MDX and RDX. Are the TPMS not interchangeable between all Acuras? Second question is the TPMS all seem to have a slight curved shape to match the inner contour of the wheel. Will the TPMS designed for the stock RL wheel fit incorrectly, since the arc of an 19" wheel is different than for the stock 17"?

 

According to Nate at the Tire Rack, there are 6 different TPMS part numbers used for Acuras and Hondas through model year 2008, all sourced from TRW and Pacific Industries.

I would call Ron, and he should know.

You can check the particular TPMS part number for your model year and trim, by going to the Owner Link e-parts catalog. I did this once, and determined that the TPMS for 2006 PAX and non PAX RLs are the same part number.

You can check with your dealer parts department.

Hopefully all three answers match. I would not worry about the arc since a 17 will have a smaller arc than a 19. Regardless, I am sure Ron took this into account when designing the wheel, but call him and find out.
