I can't trust anything I say. I first wanted a square size set of wheels, and I still have staggered. I never wanted to install spacers and now look at me. I bought the Work wheels from rlclaw that doesn't clear my front bbk.
I have a question for anyone that has installed 9.5" or wider wheels in the front: my new set is 9" wide with +35 offset. I'll need a 15mm spacer to clear so that's now like a 9" wheel with +20 offset. The tires are 235/35. Do you think I'll need to roll my front fenders? I'm lowered on tein comfort sport. The dimensions seem right at the border line of having to roll.
Here is a teaser pic of the rear until I buy hub rings and tpms sensors and mount the spacers.
Thank you. I plan on owning this car for many more years so I keep it in the best shape possible. The window visors are another discontinued Mugen part. I don't have a clear bra on the grill. Up close in person you can see all the imperfections.
Question: What make are your window rain guards? They look so sleek and are not as pronounced as others I have seen for the RL. Your car is RL perfection btw.
Thanks for the great pics. Man that thing is flawless. Please post info on your window visors and do you have a clear bra on the grill?

The rain guards are made by Mugen. I haven’t seen another set for sale for awhile now.
Hey there! car coming along nicely... Your fitment in orange, mine in green.... I am sure you have figured it out that the front will rub if super lowered by now. But!, you have the M1 flares such as I have and that you CAN bow these considerably and still achieve approx 8mm more flare under the fender extensions but you will need to trim the bumper mounting tabs and inner fenders to keep most contacting parts happy.... Also, try considering a 40 aspect ratio. Your car must be short shifting 2nd gear because the vehicle is geared lower with the 35 aspect tire... In my opinion a 40 is ideal as it retains the identical shift points for the AT computer that calculates vehicle rolling load and also provides a better ride. Photo below.. My 2 cents.

Thank you for the wealth of information! Now that I think about it, I have always ran a 35 tire up front with no issues. My goal was always to have under a 1% rotating mass from the front to rear tires. If I keep these wheels after the tires wear out, I will looking into a size 40.
A few months ago I moved South. I love being able to keep my wheels on and drive it in the dead of winter. I might replace the chrome trim on the bumpers because they are starting to chip. But otherwise the car is in great shape. No complaints over here and no plans to sell it. I have some recent photos to share...
I hope everyone here is doing well. I don't drive my RL often but it is still in great shape. I need to repaint the damage to my front bumper that is currently hidden by my license plate. I have all new bumper moldings to install along with the kb2 climate control. I still need to fix my armrest and glove box which is slowly getting worse but I still enjoy this car. It still looks good after all these years.
