Hello all. Fairly new to this as I just picked up an 07 RL. It has 168K on it, but was a one owner and was really taken care of. I'm having an issue with the front passenger door speaker. There is a distinct crackling and humming noise coming from it. I've read some posts of this issue being related to the ANC component attached at the amplifier in the trunk. Just today, I disconnected it and it did not get rid of the noise. The crackling sound does not get louder with volume, it stays constant, and continues even when the radio is turned off?? The humming almost sounds like your common "feedback" sound regarding stereo equipment. It however goes away when I turn the headlights fully on. Not just when I put the parking lights, but the HID headlights, but the crackling is still there. Could it be as simple as a new speaker?? Thoughts and any ideas are appreciated in advance.

 

I had a "scratching" or something like that sound from driver door speaker, bought second hand speaker from ebay 15€, (also available from the dealer ~190€) that ended it.
