After having my nav screen freeze on me while in audio or a/c menu last night it went black.
You can see that power is coming to the screen just nothing is happening, no acura link no nav nothing.

My Database version is 4,A2 and my Software Version is 2,11,00. Is it possible that updating these two can fix the issue?
I don't mind paying 199$ for an update from acuranavi if that will help.

I've read through most of the threads on this topic but haven't found a clear answer except sending the unit back to Alpine.

Any DIY ideas are welcome or just overall ideas on how to resolve this issue.

Would a screen change to a NAVTOOL or something similar fix this issue? I don't really care about the navigation but a lot of interior functions are unfortunately connected to it.

But i'd first test with another dvd, then try another drive, before paying Alpine.
