anyone else have this problem? i was thinking maybe some dirt or tiny rocks got in the window rail or something? it's bizarre, but when the window is partially open, i can hear the crackling when i'm driving, but when the window is all the way up or down, there is no sound.

the window itself has no problems going up or down, but i can actually feel the crackling if i touch the door while the window is moving.

 

Just had this problem with passenger rear window. Took the door apart because the window motor packed up yesterday.
Tested the motor and it's fried.
I had the noise for a while, it sounded as you described, like dirt in the window tracks, but it came and went, intermittently.
