blueooth, how does it work with 2 phones?

I've owned the 06 RL for almost 5 months now and love the bluetooh feature (7100 from Verizon). But now my wife likes bluetooth so much shes going to get the same phone with bluetooth.

Can the 06 RL connect to both phones at the same time? If not, how do you prioritize which bluebooth phone it should connect to?

Please let me know if anyone has tried this. Thanks.

I think it connects to the first one it finds, but I'm not sure.

It connects to one phone at a time, whichever it finds first. If you want to switch phones, you can just say "Next Phone" and it'll find the next paired phone.

I think it can pair with up to 6 phones.

That's been my experience. My wife and I just wait to see which phone chirps a bluetooth connection first.

But there's no visual indicator on the car or phone telling me which one is connected though? So everytime my wife and I got in the car, we would'nt know which one was connected?

Is that right?

We have Razrs. When the phone has connectd to a BT device, there is a blue Bluetooth indicatpr that flashes.

Additionally the BT logo remains on in the phone display.

But when you both get in the car, does it take turns connecting from phone to phone? What phone does it pick if you both are in the car at the time the car is started?

No. It picks one phone and stays with it until you change. I believe it picks the one that it was last connected to, if both are in the car when the car is started.

Oh, so it's the last one it was connected to in the car? How would it remember that?

Each BT device, no matter what it is, has a unique ID, which is exchanged with a device when you pair it.
