4.73 vs 4.64/4.63/4.62

Does anyone have direct experience with the 4.73 upgrade vs the somewhat flawed 4.62 release, patched to 4.64?

What is different?
Can you compare and contrast. I want to know if that $150 is worthwhile.

I just went from 4.62 to 4.73 last week. So far, I can't tell any difference. I suspect more POI's are the main addition.

Chas2 - I was particularly hoping for a little more NavTraffic coverage, like further out the Toll Road, but no such luck.

Although the 4.73a update didn't offer new roads in my area of SoCal, I chose to upgrade because my system would occasionally lock up under 4.62. Sometimes, after pushing the Okay clearance upon start-up, it would just sit there for a very long time with the button illuminated blue but no reaction. Once this went for 20 minutes. Alternatively, it would also lock up in the same manner, but in reaction to my new Motorola v750a phone: I'd get a "pair now?" or whatnot message (even though the phone was paired) and have to clear it...sometimes this resulted in another lockup.

Neither were every day, but certainly every week. Since installing the 4.73, I haven't had any lockups, my hair seems fuller and darker, my waistline is trim and my teeth are whiter. It seems like it was worth it.

$150?! It is still $310 in Canada and they currently (Jan 9th, 2009) only offer version 4.62. Makes no sense to me...

Glad to hear 4.73 has improved your life Could you look to see how many POI's are in 4.73? Go to MENU -> PLACES -> NAME. In the upper-right hand corner, there should be a number of Hits. In my 4.63, the number is 5.5m

Thanks

There are 5,922017 POI's in the 4.73a. Several of them are hair salons suitable to deal with my newly thick and luxurious mane.

Or at least navigate I-66 inside the beltway!

Thanks for the info.
