Sun Roof and keyless exit locking

Just got a used 05 RL. I noticed that the Sun Roof doesn't have an "auto" open or close feature. It seems difficult to know when it's properly closed. Any tips? Also, the manual says to push the button up (towards the sky, I assume and not forward or back) to tilt the sun roof. But nothing happens when I push up.

The keyless lock seems to not work when I exit the car. I grip the door handle and push the "bump" and it doesn't always work. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

For the sunroof, if you push the button back PAST the first click-stop then it will open automatically. The same when closing except push the button fwd past the click-stop. There have been know issues with the door handles auto lock/inlock not working properly. To lock you do not need to grab the handle - just 'brush' the bump. To unlock you grab the handle. You might make sure your key fob is linked to the car.

I think you need to have the car relearn the sunroof open and close positions.

Search is your friend. Look at post #9

Actually, I think google often works better. Search using Google.

Go to google

type into the search term box

google is great but you also need to know the keywards which a new face on the forums would not.

great start though.

Hey!!!! That fixed the problem. Post #9 works!!! Thanks much. So did the tip on "brushing" the dimple on the handle to lock. Gripping it was causing the car to get confused as to if I opening or locking the car. Thanks again for the tips.
