Sluggish start

My 05 RL is a slug in the morning. Granted I live at 6500 ft, and it was -3 yesterday, but I find my car is just crawling until it warms up. The gears seem to have rough transitions as well. Our other cars don't seem to have any problem. Anyone else have these symptoms?

I'm hoping a ATF flush will help with the rough gears, but I'm hoping that the service tech was lying when he said it's common with RLs. I'm at 67K.

I didn't have this issue with my RL. Granted, My house is at just under 1100 feet....but I had no problem starting and operating my RL with weather as cold as -10 F.
