Received a buy price of $42K but, lease numbers are crazy, over $500/mo. This doesn't make sense to me and may simply buy.

I agree. Acura's leases on the RL have always been horrible. It doesn't make any sense. Some attractive lease rates might have given this car a boost back in 2006. BMW has no problem running decent lease rates on entry-level 3-series and 5-series cars, which are the majority of BMW's on the road. Just another in a long line of Acura missteps with the RL.

 

My budget is tight and wasn't seriously considering the RL after just getting the TL AWD but, when I got this unsolicited offer, I thought maybe I'd consider it.
With the national RL tech offer for $579/mo I thought a sale price of $42K would drop the monthly lease payment significantly but, I guess not.
I went for the TL over the RL because of the dated tech pkg in the RL.

 

Doesn't low residual value cause the monthly lease rate to be higher?

if i may ask. i am curious, where are u located on the east coast ?
and at what dealer were u able to get such a low asking price for an '10 RL. cuz $42k is a great price if it's an RL with Tech pkg.
