Leaking roof? windscreen?

I've got a strange water leak on the driver's side of my 05 RL. I went out one day with soapy water and flushed the drain in the sunroof, no leak inside, poured it every which way I could and could not replicate it. However, woke up this morning to find a puddle on the floor after a night of a light drizze. Also happens when driving. drip drip drip. I've seen some Honda forums discussing either a glass seal or a loose/dried up drain hose from the sunroof.

Anyone else experienced this & have a fix that doesn't require garbage bags & duct tape?

Pop open the A Pillar to see if there's a clog.

has your windshield been replaced before to your knowledge?

I had a leak at the passenger side A pillar. Had me baffled at first, thought it was the sunroof. It turns out the seal above the corner of the windshield came loose due to the high pressure spray at a self service car wash. I held the sprayer too close to the car. A few days later while driving in the rain it started dripping. I fixed it with silicone sealant.

Aha - Okay then - I'll have a look at the seals then.

Thanks!

Silicone sealant, not silicone spray - they're totally different things !

I siliconed the strip above the corner of the windshield.

I get this leak whenever the seal along the top of the windshield gets popped up... It is pretty rare, typically it only happens when it is windy outside or on the interstate, I need to glue it down, but for now I have just been keeping an eye out for it.

Do you mean you ran a bead of silicone oh the top of the strip between the roof panel or did you just squirt some in where the strip slides in under the windshield trim? Have the same problem on my RL. But really reluctant to just slather the roof with silicone. Haha

Mine had the same problem, look right at the corner under the trim where the roof meets the pillar. Mine has a small crack in the metal causing it to leak. Use flowing silicone to fill the crack. I tried regular silicone and it worked but was a mess. Redid it with flowing silicone looks good and hasn't leaked since. This is a common problem on these cars. Hope this helps.
