After it rains I have a water mark where my passenger pillar meets the roof headliner and the handle bar. The water mark will make its way down the pillar. I've checked the sunroof drain holes and there is nothing obstructing them. I sprayed compressed air in the holes and poured water in the drain hole and it seems the water is draining out at the bottom of my car.
I did have my headliner replaced a few weeks ago and the very next day when we had rain I began to see the water marks. Could the shop have pinched or cracked the drain tube which is causing the leak in my car? I dont know what it could be because when I did pour water in the drain tube I didnt see any water marks on the inside.
I noticed the weather stripping on the windshield wasnt adhering to the front windshield so I bought sealent and sealed it. Still leaks on the inside though. This is driving me nuts. It seems to much of a coincidence that Im having this issue right after having my headliner replaced. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Yea it sounds like the sunroof drain tubes are clogged or disconnected try blowing compressed air down the holes on each front corner of the sun roof frame under the wind defector then pour a little bit of water down then and see if it runs out under the car behind the front mud flaps if it still leaks down your A pillar then most likely then came disconnected...very common problem for both of these issues
It sounds like the drain tube got damaged when the headliner was down. Its probably got a leak in it but likely isn't clogged or completely disconnected.
3rd gen tl sunroof drain tube disconnected/leaking? Any easy way to to reconnect?

Yes, take it back to whomever did your headliner and tell them its now leaking water.
they probably disconnected the drain tube.
or you can remove the A pillar and the "ohh shit handle " on the drivers side and pull down the headliner to see if connected
My 3rd gen tl 2004 is leaking into trunk from top connection of sunroof drain. Is there an easy way to reconnect drain tube without taking out airbag etc? Service manual has you taking the entire sunroof apart and taking out an airbag. Then you are supposed to reprogram the sunroof motor etc. I hope somebody has an easier way. Appreciate any help or clues.

You will have to drop the headliner to get access to the drain tube. Just start at the end closest to the drain and remove hardware until you can drop it enough to get access, you shouldn't need to mess with the airbags or remove it entirely.
You should consider is why it is leaking though. Leaks are usually just because the drains are clogged and the water pools up in the sunroof faster than it can drain overflowing into the headliner. In which case you should be able to clear out the tube without dropping the headliner, I generally pour some degreaser down the drain, let it soak a bit and then carefully blow out with compressed air.

Thanks, much. I will try your approach with degreaser The bottom connection in the trunk was was loose and leaking so I assumed same at top connection (negative thinking).
Found leaks at drain tube connection points (both sides of trunk behind trunk covering) and also used compressed air. Zip tie worked to stop the tube connection leak. Also used industrial dish detergent to degrease flow path. Zip tie at leak source
