My Interior Door Handle broke clean off in my hand on my 05. Has anyone heard of this happening before?
I hope I am not required to buy the entire interior door panel to replace it. Normally, I would consult my Dealer but since the original dealership was purchased a few months ago, they no longer honor any of the commitments of the original owners, such as free loaner car while mine is serviced. They also come across with an attitude. Therefore I have sworn off the local dealership.
I now go to an independent garage I trust. They haven't heard or seen this before.

 

Yes, this has happened before and this piece is the one cheap piece in the RL. Unfortunately, the only recourse is to replace the inner door panel, IIRC. A search will turn up other similar threads.
