car won't start

I replaced all the bulbs in my a/c unit yesterday & now the car won't start. Has anyone else had this issue when doing that? The seat won't even move & the gear shift in lock mode. I tried jumping it off, but nothing. What's the deal. What have I done?

Its probably a dead battery. Did you maybe leave the ignition switch in the "1" position? I don't think replacing the lamps for the A/C is related to the car not starting.

Connect a volt meter to the battery terminals and it should be over 12v.

I'll try that. After I worked on it I tested it & the defrost light was flashing & then the auto & dual lights flashed together when I pressed auto, so I thought I did something wrong. I did leave the ignition on for the radio & the door open for a breeze(it was actually warm out), but I didn't thing that would run the battery down that bad. Thanks.

sounds to me like you created a short somewhere
As I recall there is a main fuse for the battery located on the positive cable connection. You may have blown that fuse.

I'd assume a dead battery. Last week while changing my breaks i carelessly left the car in acc 1 and had the radio on and door open and my car died. So just have someone give you a jump. I'd think that should solve it.

Yet more evidence that our OEM batteries are weak sauce. I propose that Acura fit RLs with deep cycle batteries given the amount of electronics in the car.

The battery charger worked & all the a/c lights work now. Does anyone know what bulb the heated seat light uses? My low light is out & while I still have everything apart, I figured I would replace it too.
