Bad A Spec install job??

I've had my a spec & a '09 rear sway bar installed at a dealer for about 9 months & in the first few months, I'd hear a scraping sound (sounds like its coming from the front) whenever I would go up or down a driveway (or similar incline/decline) at 5mph or more.. It went about 6 months without the sound until last nite..

Is this a normal thing of a lowered, sportier type of suspension or does it reflect a poor install job?
The dealer I had it done at said nothing was wrong but there should be a 12 month warranty for something they install right?
Has anyone else had this problem?
Should I go to a different dealer & report it (they should honor the other dealer's warranty on labor right)?

It's also worth noting that the car did not make that scraping sound before the a-spec install..

So, you took it back to the dealer and reproduced the noise and they said nothing was wrong?

Have you looked under the car to make sure the front plastic wasnt hanging down?

First you have to find what is scraping. If it is you splash guard, then get new clips and clip it back on. You say it only happens in driveways. Do you mean completely flat ones, or ones that have some sort of drainage path at the end causing steep grades?

Nothing is physically scraping.. the best way to describe the sound is like a scraping/popping sound and an abnormal one at that.. As for the driveway, it's not flat ones but rather ones with a grade/incline.

There is no plastic hanging down, nor have I reproduced the noise in front of the dealer.. When going in for maintenance, I brought it to the dealer's attention and upon picking it back up, they said the suspension was fine.. but the noise unfortunately resurfaced last nite after a hiatus..

Oh, in that case I would go back and get a tech to ride with you so you can point it out.

is it a popping sound backing out or pulling in while turning with the steering wheel close to the lock position?

Actually, my issue sounds alot like ichi d's.. The sound has occurred when I pull into driveways or drive up or down a ramp to a store or something.. The sound last nite though was a result of backing out of my brother's driveway. It feels and sounds like it's coming from the front.. It does usually happen when I'm turning..

Have them check your engine mounts.... You might be looking at it all wrong...

So if you took your car in to a dealer because it kept throwing 30 foot flames and igniting pedestrians and the dealer said that there was nothing wrong, would you just say OK?
Obviously not so you have lots of options to get the dealer to admit to the problem. You then need them to admit that it is warranty and lastly, get them to fix it.
