I'm having trouble selecting song with the center button. When i press it i see the song highlight but it doesn't change. After about four tries it will finally change the song.

 

What device are we talking about here? CD, MP3 CD, iPod? What happens when you select other things like nav features? First try works?

 

It happens when i play an mp3 cd.

 

I experienced it sometimes when I try to choose to get into the folders - I do not think it is a problem with the button but recorded MP3 discs.

 

I wonder how many pushes you get in 7 years? I'd guess normal wear.

 

I agree, I think this is normal, It only happens as it's trying to load the folder names in the background. I have never experienced this listening to a regular cd or using the navigation dial for any other purpose, only when browsing the folders on an mp3 disc.

 

Supposedly there is a fine line to walk when burning a bullet proof MP3 CD in this car. Search in electronics for the strict guidelines.

 

Disaster averted.

 

I've had the same problem, what I do that usually helps is select the disc, click the folder, go back to the main audio screen then re-select the folder again. A little quirky but it might be a workaround...
