Dude, if you can't afford a legitimate RL then don't buy one. There are plenty of better RL's out there for that price too. Even a high mileage one would be better than this. I don't care how good that car looks or how low the miles are; that doesn't change the fact that it was flooded. A car loaded with electronics does not do well with water.

Again, if you want to buy a 4000 pound paper weight then by all means buy it. But we are all telling you to avoid it.

And STOP posting multiple threads on the same topic. That's probably why it was deleted.

Sorry if this sounds harsh.

Um guys, I accidentally deleted his threads in the process of merging them, and asked him to repost this topic. Please put the haterade away.

He asks a totally legit question.

My answer is that while the car looks good on the surface, I wouldn't purchase it. As has been stated, there are other undamaged RLs out there for the price, you just have to look, and maybe further afield than you are now. OTOH, if you are comfortable with the disadvantages of owning a salvage car, then more power to you.

To the op, there is no reason to buy that particular car especially for that high of a price. I did a simple search on cars.com and there are many RL's in your price range in your area.

Here's a link. Hope this helps.

^He makes a good point. When I was searching, 80% or more the available RLs were in NE. You should have no trouble finding one there.

Congratulations. Smart move, and enjoy your new (to you) RL. Rated by Consumer Reports as one of the most reliable used luxury cars when dry!
