Talked with Mike again and I have an appointment to get this installed on Friday. As long as the fitment and sound are good it will be the final product. We wont have any dyno results yet since he wants me to drive around with it to make sure there are no rattles or other issues. Ill be sure to snap some pictures of it while im there as well.

I'll keep an eye on the MPGs but im sure they wont really change... As it is, i'm averaging just over 16 haha...
Hey what do you guys think about this? Mike and I were talking about other options for the RL as well. I think I would prefer the dual round tips and on my car. Excuse my bad 5 minute chops...

A reflash would be great since it gets the fuel, timing and everything else tweaked so you do actually get gains. The sad thing is that since the RL does not have much of an enthusiast following, I doubt any company will invest the time into it for such a little return. If you really need to be able to tune it, I’m sure there is at least one piggy-back solution that would work ok although they are not ideal.
The stock ECM can both pull and add fuel as required. I know it will set a check engine light if the long term fuel trim gets to +15% or –15%. I did a k20a2 swap in my other car and had a wiring problem with the primary o2 sensor that made it think the engine was always lean. I wouldn’t get a check engine light till a couple days later after the ECM kept adding more fuel. It set a “too lean” code… After I fixed that it was at a steady +2.4% with an intake and exhaust. So there is really no need for tuning as far as I’m concerned since Honda is usually very conservative with the stock fuel maps.

Alrighty... just a quick update for you guys. Got it mounted up and drove just a bit. There is definatly more of an exhaust note and a noticable improvement in mid to high end power. Mike and I are still trying to fine tune the sound then I will take a vid of it.

I'm not planning on doing the pre-cat deletes since I live in CA and emissions testing sux here. Plus I don’t want to deal with tricking the secondary o2 sensors so the CEL will stay off. Already the car has a noticeable increase in high end power and doesn't feel like it lost low end. For example when you’re going 40ish and floor it causing the transmission to drop into 2nd it really throws you into the seat a lot more than before. Plus the sound is nice too...
The true duals are back off the car for now though for some fine tuning and the addition of an X or H pipe...
Sorry about the quality of these. They were all taken from my phone.

Wow Nice work! What does the lack of the third cat do as far as compliance with air pollution regulations and tampering with equipment? Varies state by state? You just have to pass a certain minimum level?
