05+ Rl Jpipe by ATLP

Hello All,

I spoke with Mike (aznbo87) from ATLP and he said if we have 10 people he is willing to make the product.

Interest and information was from here.
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-rl-2005-2012-76/atlp-rl-j-pipe-691096/

Any other takers? It would be nice to add some more hp and tq to the RL.

-Jimmy

Depends on the price, if it was $250-300 then I'll consider it. But I feel kind of iffy about being a guinea pig.

I'm still down. Depending on the cost. $300 is a good range.

Seriously! I want this haha. My stock J-pipe is dented from a truck tire that jumped out in front of my car... I've been holding off on buying a new OEM one just to see if something would come out aftermarket.

- what metal will be used in first round production?
- aside from the performance gains, could a gain in mpg be plausible?
- what would the eta be from payment to delivery assuming you'd need payment from the 10 before starting

Appreciate the revival of this idea, thanks.

I hope it would be stainless steel.

I don't think any MPGs will be gained but you wont loose either (as long as you stay off the skinny pedal) haha

they didnt make it yet.
and it should make it a little louder (aggressive) and yield some gains.
check the graphs on the link provided on the first post.
until they have a tester we wont know 100%, all theoretical and going off of the TL

I really hope we can get the 10 people for this. Between 5 & 10HP is so worth the price plus it will help through the whole power band not just at high RPMs (if it provides similar gains to the TL).

This is back? I wish it had come out while I owned my RL, I would have been 100% in. This costs a lot less than the axleback exhaust I got for my CTS-V last year ($1400).

We have tried this before, like Bob said "this is back?" It for some reason just never comes to fruition.

its 400 for an increase of ~ 7hp/13tq (TL) which isn't bad, but the curve is where its at.

You may want to go to the 3G TL side to see install pix, or PM aznbo87. My recollection is that the install is somewhat similar.

Hey all, we will need a new test fitter as we only did a rough fit last time. Our prototype vehicle (Supergreen) sold the car so we were never able to get a fully working item.

If your local to Westminster, CA, please PM or e-mail me and we can set this project back on track. Test fitter will also be compensated with a discount on the part as well. The J-Pipe we designed recently for the new 4G TL which has an extremely similar 3.5l engine. The only difference will be the rear connection and a slight increase in length. The power gains we gained on the 3.5 engine was also a nice amount more than what we had with the 3.2l dyno (8whp/14wtq).

Add me to the "interested" list. A DIY specific to the RL would be nice, although its has to be rather close to the TL.

...I will do anything for more torque

looking good!
need a few more to cover for the people that are maybes.
this would be great if it works as advertised. need this and some sort of cam or engine management and the RL would be a serious luxury performer.
