Exactly why it's now eight days and counting.....I don't know how many iterations now.

 

just lock it now.... nothing is going to happen in 8 days...

if anyone was EVER going to make an exhaust setup for the RL.. they would have made it a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago....

there is ZERO money in an RL exhaust for a manufacturer to invest their time/money. they wouldn't sell enough... that's why no one has made one.

i honestly don't think the custom exhasuts I've heard sound all that great anyway. the loud / raspy ones just flat out don't fit the car. something jsut a bit deeper than what the car has stock woudl be nice..

honestly.. when teh car first starts up.. it has a nice deep note to it... but then it seems to quiet down...

i'll have to try deactivating the noise cancellation to see what it sounds like...

another option for a better sound is to do an intake. you'll sound bone stock wjhen cruising, but get that nice intake sucking sound when you are on the gas hard.. which is a nice / sporty sound. but it's only there when you are on the gas.

if someone wanted to buy a 5Zigen ehxaust..can you even still find them??

100% true to all. Giving a fair chance for Heeltoe to step in is one of the reasons I am keeping it open at this point.

As far as a 5Zigen exhaust, they are no longer available in the US. If you go to 5zigen's website, the Fireball Mega (which is the one I had on my RL) is only available for Nissan/Infiniti vehicles now. I searched 5zigen's Japanese site as well just now and it is no longer available under Honda applications. In fact, if you google "5zigen Legend exhaust" you get my videos from when I installed it on my RL.

I hope all this doubt just fuels Mr. Heeltoe to finally produce something for the RL...

Honestly it wouldn't take much money to develop something for the RL as they already have designs for countless other J series engines with and without AWD. But hey what do I know, I'm just a lowly consumer I say go ahead and lock it. If anyone will develop something it will be RV6 especially since he already said they have protoypes

 

This thread has been dead for a year. and its alive again....

not to step on heeltoe but someone already has a jpipe in place. I will be getting it put on my car.and it will be sold to all rl users from what i am told. be patient amigos. its coming.

as for exhaust... i have a custom exhaust. I have a 3inch piping with two resonators to keep the loudness down. and so far i enjoy it.

i didnt go with any aftermarket brand. it was a custom exhaust for me by a local shop...

 

Sweet!!! can't wait!!! any price out yet? the real question when is it available for consumers to purchase.
