**Official NEW RL photoshop thread.
Well I would start but I no longer have the photoshop program. However as it has been deemed probablyy 90% of us puked at the site of the 2009 RL I figured why dont we combine ideas and photoshop skills to create one that we do like. Now I would like this to remain realistic as if one of us went out and bought one and "overhauled" it..So ditch the grill, do a different hood/fender design, revamp the trunk, and of course new rims(and bigger?) to make it look like an acura we can drive.
Now to help you understand what this could mean, the neo-NSX as you all know has been delayed again and again and NSX owners are photoshoping like mad, so far as one man took it upon himself to make an HSC version of his current NSX. One man created a modern day 2dr charger himself also....and yes it gets corporations attention.
SO have fun! DO two tones etc etc and who knows...maybe we will see a version of it on the street!
Ps- I will grant headlight changes if using a similar style(TL headlight) that MAY fit as realistic.
So here is the ugly one..

Funny thing is...the misaligned hood on the RL int he above picture actually makes it look BETTER than if it had one that was aligned with the lights, because of the design you did with the grill.
Would look better if the front lip were body coloured, but awesome nonetheless.
By the way, welcome to the boards!

Well, I could do without the massive slamming and the extra body scoops, but blacking out the grille is a definite improvement. Perhaps Acura should offer that as an option? The wheels are great, too.
Could you photoshop the new car with just the grille blacked out and without all the extra stuff?
BTW, welcome to AZ!

Nice 'shopping, but that lower bodywork wouldn't last long enough to get out of your driveway.
I guess it's an indication of my oldfartedness, but I just can't understand why people think cars look good when they're collapsed on their wheels and scraping the ground. I guess maybe if you're real short or something ... but to me, cars look best when they're sitting up nicely on their wheels, looking like they're ready to run and play.

/\ must be the oldfartedness in you, LOL what a word. haha.
I'd have to agree, just the grill work alone makes the car look 1000x better! overall good work.
i think that would look killer in person, if even your an old fart. its more a show thing then realistic for DD or driving for that matter, I used to have my legend (93 6spd coupe) slammed all the way to the ground, it was cool or a week or so, haha raised it up 2in, for a few months and now 2in more, and still dropped 3in from stock. i guess its all about what you like...

that looks so much better than Acura's "beak" of a grill.
Could you photoshop it so that the beak on the grill is removed and it is only the thin silver in the grill, (the thin silver lines below the beak, make the whole grill look like that). And also put the Acura symbol embedded in the hood like on a BMW for example. Throw some chrome RJs on there too!
This is my opinion of what the car should look like^^
(waits at computer anxiously for picture)

Well done vinh291, I think the only thing left to do, is to add in that second intake slot in the bumper, below the grill. I think it takes a bit of emphasis away from that grill.
But perhaps the biggest problem with the '09 RL is the mis-match in style between the front lights, and the rear lights. The rears have a sharpness about their design, whereas the fronts have a molten look with soft corners. It would be interesting to see the RL with a style similar to the Honda Sports 4 concept's front lights?

Now that I can see the grille with just the skinny lines I think it actually needs something to define it nicely (and not a massive beak). Maybe a semi-thick vertical chrome line going straight through the middle of the grille. A small 3 in. skirt on the front bumper might look nice too. Man, those Rj's didn't help did they! The stock rims are a better choice.
I like this thread, it is like we are making our own car.

Well I managed to get the latest photoshop but i recently had to reformat my computer and still working out a few things. I am not that good by any means so perhaps we can exchange some tips and how to's also.
the above chops are already far better than a stock 09' RL by far. Scary how a few changes on the few chops make it buyable.
lets keep this alive!
