wt319771 headlight ballast/ignitor
2013 RDX/Tech package/HID bulbs
I believe I have successfully confirmed that both my balast and bulb have faied. A plug and play LED bulb worked for a VERY short time after just the bulb was replaced. Now the hid bulb from the functioning headlight will not light up in the suspect socket. The led bulb and the hid bulb both work in the functioning socket. The non functioning hid bulb does not light up in the functioning socket.
My Question regards the ballast and associated plug. Neither of my current plug ends have the little attached grounding plugs that appear in virtually every listing I can find for a replacement part. Except this one: https://octopus-center.com/acura/214...-33129-tm8-j01.
Searching for w3t19771 invariably loads results for w3t19371 which has an attached ground (at least the videos I've watched refer to it as that). And videos specific to a 2013 RDX with hid bulbs I have not been able to locate. ebay and amazon sites confirm fitment of w3t19371 for my vehicle.
Do/can I just ignore the attached ground wire?
I acknowledge being "dangerous with tools", but I am doubly cautious with electrical repairs.
Thanks for the help.
