HID replaced - not working

2014 ILX
Changed HID bulbs without removing bumper (pain in the f'n ass!!)..

driver side works fine, passenger side (which was burnt out) is not working.. tried the new bulb as well as the previous driver side bulb (which was still previously working) but not lighting up at all. Anyone know what could be wrong?

the bulb was burning out slowly before it died out completely and I can physically see the old bulb is burnt out. Unless I messed up the ballest when I was taking it off.. is that possible? Someone also told me it could be the ground wire but I can't find any diagrams on which wire that is..

switch the ballast from one side to the other to confirm it's not the ballast..

You should be able to change the HID bulbs without removing the bumper, it is actually fairly easy.
1) First remove the white cover by twisting it counter clockwise
2) Unplug the HID bulb connector
3) Push in to release the spring tension bars holding the bulb in place
4) Replace the bulb and reverse the process to reinstall

Now to address the bulb not igniting, I would try reversing the bulbs (driver side and passenger side = It is best practice to change both at this point anyway to ensure the correct color temperature matches both sides) and trying both sides (as someone above mentioned). It is unlikely the problem is your ballast based on what you mentioned, and more likely the new bulb is the issue or a connection problem. I believe the headlight fuse works for both sides so that will not be the issue either.

If you need to remove the ballast, well that will require you to remove the headlight assembly (which will require the front bumper to be removed) to get to as the ballast which is attached underneath.

I hope this helps - Good luck

Yes I did remove the headlight assembly in the past, however not necessary to change the HID bulbs.

Ensure you connect the HID bulb correctly into the wiring harness.

Spring tension clips that hold the bulb in place.
