Serpentine Belt and tensioner RDX 2018
Hi guys, i adquired an 2018 RDX a year ago, now woth just over 100K km and 7 years its time for the timing belt change, so now that im there i would like to ask about the serpentine/accesory belt and tensioner, does anyone know the change interval for those? the belt is a no brainer being cheap, but the original tensioner is around 400 bucks at the dealership so i wanna ask if you know of any alternative as this seems a little expensive.
for the distribution kit i went with the Aisin TKH002 and im also doing transmision, transfer and diferential fluids, coolant drain and refill plus spark plugs, anything else you think is time to check o r change?
Thank you

All you need to do is service the pulley and change the belt, my 2013 tensioner with 210k miles is in great shape.
No sense changes tensioners until they start jumping after the cutoff, which causes vabling noise.

I change the drive belt every 105K miles along with the water pump, timing belt and timing belt tensioner (Aisin Kit from Rock Auto) and spark plugs on both my Acura's.. I did change the drive belt tensioner on my 2012 TL at 210K miles but probably didn't have to. It was preventive as it wasn't bouncing or chirping yet.
I believe Altair is correct, I went OEM on this device when I did replace it.
2017 RDX- 180K miles (wife's car)
2012 TL 289K miles (mine and still love the car)
