When driving at night I don't see any difference in my rear view mirror with the auto-dimming function engaged. It's been this way since I purchased it about a month ago (2013 RDX).

Anyone else have similar issues?

The green light goes on and off when pushing the button, but there does not seem to be a visual difference in the headlights behind me reflected in the mirror.

 

If the green light is on, there there should be a noticeable difference in the mirror. Either your is not functioning properly or you are more sensitive to headlights. It will not eliminate all headlights but just trim it down enough that it shouldn't create discomfort as you are being followed. It could be a bit hard for the dealer to check unless they have evening business hours....keep us posted.

 

you can check for yourself by taking a flash light to the rear view mirror.
watch it dim.

 

There doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference but tonight I'm going to try that flashlight suggestion. I'll post the results.

I wish they had the same for the side mirrors or at least blue tinted ones.

 

Used a flashlight to test it out in the garage. Looks like the mirror is faulty. As soon as I can see again I'll be taking it in to the dealer!
