2013 RDX rear driver's side power window not working
I'm having an issue with the drear driver's side power window in my 2013 RDX. The master switch will not roll down the window and neither will the actual door switch itself. You can hear some clicking but that's it. I have tried to do some diagnosing myself and this is what I know.
the fuse has been checked and appears to show no sign of failure.
I replaced the rear window switch itself and still not working.
a voltmeter shows 12 V to the switch plug itself when I turn it on.
all the other windows are working properly.
Next logical choice would be to check the window motor itself, but it looks to be tedious to access this? Any advise or has anyone else had this same issue? I just don't want to take it to the dealer to be told it will cost me big money which is most often the case with dealerships; don't trust them.
Did this just start all of a sudden? Was it working before? What kind of weather are you experiencing? If it's very cold, could be frozen condensation blocking movement.
To be honest, I can't recall the last time it was even working. It is winter here and has been cold. I have tried to gently tap the window to try a break any type of seal or condensation to no avail.
That was the first thing I checked was the door switch. Swamped it out with a new one and still not working. Must be motor related but that would involve taking the whole panel off.
I'm having the same problem (2014 RDX w/ tech). It seems a number of people have this issue, and it's always the driver side rear passenger power window that doesn't work. Mine was intermittent but now doesn't go down at all. Has anyone got to the root of this one?
I also a 13 RDX and have had this issue. It’s not a component failure, at least in my case. I’ve had the window stick to the weather stripping if I don’t use it for a long time. It won’t go up or down but you hear the click of the motor trying. So I have to manually push on the window to break the seal and it’ll work. That’s at least my experience, hopefully it’s the same for you, so you can save some money.
It's also a good idea to use silicone spray on all the weather stripping and rubber near the window. It's a good practice to roll the windows up and down every week or so to keep them from getting jammed.
Hello, did you ever resolve this issue with the rear window not working? Believe it or not mine still isn't working
Everything is very simple, 5 wires go into the back switch and two come out for the motors, two wires come positive from the main relay and negative, one wire is the elimination and the remaining 2 wires are control from the master switch, this is an easily diagnosed and very primitive system .

Thanks for the diagram. You can hear the motor trying to work but nothing from either the master or door switch. I have changed the door switch but nothing. I believe its strictly the motor and not the regulator.

You can disassemble the motor and clean the collector from graphite, which will increase its power or install a new power window regulator and forget about the problem.
Finally got around to fixing this. Removed the door panel Fairly straight forward. I had to cut the existing cables on the regulator because mine would not go down. I kept the window in place with some tape and cardboard inside the window. The new window regulator has one top screw and 3 bottom. It was a bit finicky to get it out but I did in a couple of pieces.
Putting in the new one was another story! I thought about removing the glass but I didn't and I was glad I didn't. I had to cut a bit of the top screw because it was not going to fit as is. Believe me I tried! Not enough room inside the door to manouver the top of the regulator. Do yourself a favour, cut about 3/8 of the tip of the screw and it will work.

My issue is the rear window on the passenger side. Mine appears to be the attachment of the window to the chassis that is connecting to the motor. I was able to push the window down manually and I keep the door rubber trim in good shape. So, it is not sticking to that. The motor work fine up and down when I manually push the window down. I need to take my door panel apart to see what is going on. I need to get a hold of the 2013 RDX Acura shop manual. I believe it’s only only available electronically and you need to pay a subscription fee. That sucks but I prefer to look at schematics before I take the door panel apart.

Works like a charm now.
good work, guess what? I have the same issue but for a 2014 RDX. it hasn't worked for quite some time but was wondering if you have the instructions to remove the rear door panel? any other manuals, etc.
thank you in advance
