Driver's side front window stuck down intermittently
Hey guys. Just picked up my 2008 RDX this weekend and I love it so far. The only issue I've seen with it so far is, the driver's side front window seems to get stuck in the down position intermittently. It seems to resolve itself after a minute or two, but has happened to both me and my wife once each in the past 3 days.
Initially, I thought I was leaning on the door controls, chalking it up to some goofy ergonomic quirk since it was new and I was getting used to driving it. Now I know something's up. I'm taking it into the dealer for service tomorrow in the AM.
Anyone else experience anything similar?

I believe there is a sensor where it detects any obstruction, are you sure your arms or anything are not in the way?
If so yes I'd take it to the dealership and try to reproduce the problem with the service adviser there.

It may be related to the auto-reverse function. The auto-reverse is active only when the window is in auto-up operation; that is when the switch is pulled up and released. In auto-up, the motor will reverse if an obstacle is contacted.
If the switch is held up for manual operation the auto-reverse is de-activated.
You can troubleshoot by trying the switch first in auto-up. If the window won't go, try manual-up (de-activating auto-reverse circuitry) and see if it then moves.

Turns out the reg that powers that front window is bad. So, the garage ordered the part and will likely install it tomorrow.
I'm a little pissed that the car only has 200 miles on it and something is already busted, but hey, what can you do?
