LED Fog Light Installation

Just installed the OEM fog lights on my 2017 RDX, not a hard install. It's weird that the lights are blue, but they still look good. I chose to go this route after being disappointed with the quality of the morimoto fog lights.

The easiest way to do the install was to first remove the 4 clips underneath the bumper right under the fog lights, a screw and clip in the wheel well, for each side of the vehicle.

Here are the stock lights vs. the LEDs installed.

Left side wasn't to bad but the right can be a little tricky, the windshield wash reservoir gets in the way of one of the screws. To get around it I used a small ratchet with a Philips head bit.

Here is the finished look.

Nice, did you have to get the whole kit (08V31-TX6-2A0)or just these 2 fog lights?

That part number (08V31-TX6-2A0) is for only the two fog lights. It does not include the wiring, plastic housing, nor the replacement control switch arm.
That all being said, yes I only needed the two fog lights, I have the advanced trim which came with halogen fog lights. Wish the lights were cheaper, but it beats paying 800 or 600 for the whole kit.

Thanks for posting the install. It's a big help. I'm puzzled why Acura doesn't provide the LED lights in the Advance. Mine has halogens in it, which don't match the color of any of the other lighting at all.

Your LED fogs look great! I also went with the OEM LED fogs as I was disappointed with the output of the morimotos.

Sorry to hear you guys weren't pleased with the morimotos. Can't go wrong with Oem. Nice upgrade.

If I ever get tired of the morimotos which I find are great for their use. I'll swap em out in my 4G TL knowing they are the same.

500 bucks.... That is a lot of coin. I am going to switch my halogen bulbs for LEDS I ordered off Ebay. I barely use the fog lights as it is.

It's a hard bullet to bite, especially when you see that led fogs come standard on some other "lower" end models (wife's CX-5).

Do you suppose the new design Morimoto and the OEMs come from the same source?
